Which is the main explainer of why Portland (and many other cities) can’t put in speed humps, chicanes, diverters, and any other infrastructure that would have any real impact on crazy speeding drivers. It’s not the fire trucks and EMT, it’s the crazy drivers in those police cruisers...
Drivers are not perfect. Would you rather they run into relatively cheap things like concrete planters full of dirt, or people? #VisionZero
