There's a great article up by @cwarzel in The Atlantic about The Gleeful Cruelty of the White House X Account. It's a scary but thoughtful analysis of a grim societal trend, focusing specifically on how intensification is implemented via the ex-bird site, lately a cesspool of distilled toxicity from which many still regularly feed.

ESPECIALLY the part in Warzel's article about ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) made me shudder. The article is worth reading for that part alone.

Recovering Mouldy Video Tape

This is a slightly mouldy Video 8 Tape

Newer Tapes, are frankly, so bloody thin, you've got to be really careful & it's time consuming.

It's been dried. I've taken top of the spool off to aid cleaning & recovery

It's delicate. Once it’s been separated, I’ll run it twice through a Tape Cleaner to remove any remaining mould.

Original packaging was accidentally thrown away. I only have 2 Micro SD cards but I can include a 32GB if needed. Second, an Edirol R09HR. Excellent onmidirectional mics, 3.5 mic and line in jacks, and very easy to memorize menus. Will include documentation with physical and menu layout descriptions. Includes 8GB SD card, case that allows most controls to be used plus a tripod mount. Rubber door that covers SD card slot/USB port has fallen off but if left in case things work fine. Outer rubber coding feels slightly worn but again, keep it in the case. Both take 2 AA alkaline or NIMH batteries. Any more questions, feel free to ask!
