A mulch fire right by I40 east of #Asheville. This is one of the large grinding sites for #Helene debris. They had large electronic sign’s approaching this saying authorities are aware. It was pretty weird seeing it burn this close to the highway.

Congratulations, you've all made it to Friday.
Coolish and damp here today, but rebounding again next week. Today is the "average" last frost in #Asheville, but they're still warning about another one Saturday night, so the potted flowers get to spend another day in the garage.
Wishing you all a bright, and better day.
Sideways rain in Paradise at the moment..
Well then.. that explains why I'm clanked shut this morning..
For folks in the #Asheville and #NorthCarolina area, the Republican backed candidate for the #NC Supreme Court has won an appellate court ruling to throw out 65K votes in the race for a contested seat in our state's highest court.
Voters on this list must demand that they be taken off to be counted.
The full list and details can be found at https://thegriffinlist.com Look yourself up! Look up your neighbors, friends, coworkers, etc! Make sure your #vote is counted!
For those in #Asheville I26 is open with new lanes south of the rest area. Whooo!
A picture of 4 lanes. We’re on the left lane.
Soggy day in paradise.
It's been raining off and on since yesterday but looks like in a few hours the front passes and it clears and cools
The #Asheville Watchdog has an excellent story about yesterday's #HandsOff protest here, where they estimated 7,500 people attended, the largest protest in the city in a decade.
Another good story, this time from ABC news about the huge protests yesterday all across the nation.
Great shot of #Asheville, and all the people in Pack Square. You can see us clearly as tiny blobs behind a tree way up the right side of the crowd.
7,500 strong at the #Asheville NC Indivisible protest today! Powerful messages from the crowd, all demanding accountability, justice, and action for a better future. Signs like “Democracy is not a spectator sport” and “Vote like your rights depend on it” say it all. #Resist #ActNow #HandsOff
A better article from the #MountainXpress here in #Asheville about our #HandsOff protest event today.
Mostly photos, but they got some good ones. We saw a lot of these people. They don't say how many people, but definitely thousands.
And here is the #Asheville local TV station, WLOS ignoring what is happening here and all across the nation. A Sinclair station.
We met up with our neighbor for a couple of hours, and she was smart enough, before leaving, to go down to towards the stage and shoot UP the hill, so you got a better feel for all the people there in Pack Square in #asheville today for #HandsOff.
Much better pictures than any of mine.
A couple more crowd scenes from the #asheville #HandsOff protest today.
First one shows a sign in red held by a man, reading "Let's Make America Great Depression Again" while the other is carried by a woman and read "Ugh, Where Do I Even Start"
More signs and people from today's #HandsOff protest in #Asheville NC. We were early, it was hot and very little shade, but stayed 2 hours. Got LOTS of people, many great signs, a lot of anger.
Sorry, home now. #Asheville. It was hard to type
Impressive turnout in #Asheville for the April 5 rally. Hands off, MFers.
