#Volvo Buses has launched the Volvo 7800 Electric in #Mexico, marking the first electric articulated and bi-articulated bus manufactured in the country. Built on the Volvo BZR platform, the bus aims to enhance Mexico’s Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) systems, improving efficiency and sustainability. With over 25 years in the #Mexican market, Volvo is a leader in the #BRT segment and is committed to reducing emissions while increasing passenger capacity.
The Volvo 7800 Electric bi-articulated model can carry up to 300 passengers, and the articulated version up to 191. Both feature a 250 kWh charging capacity and are equipped with Volvo’s latest safety systems. The buses will also include a maintenance contract, spare parts access, and a unique connectivity and circularity model for Mexico. Manufactured in Volvo’s local plant, the first buses are expected in 2026, driving the transition to cleaner and safer public transport.
