In the ANCIENT CITY of Brooklyn, this window with an ornamental pediment is part of a brownstone building that is likely (gasp!) over FIFTEEN DECADES OLD.

Okay, fine — I know it can’t hold a candle to the absolutely stunning medieval European windows that others have been sharing on here. But at least there’s a cat!

Tonight: back in the gorgeous St Ann's in Brooklyn Heights for Nala Sinephro. Been looking forward to this one since I found out about it and she is not disappointing those expectations in the least. Sublime ambient spiritual groove, cleansing my soul and lifting my spirit like only transcendent music can. And this is transcendent indeed.

The church coming through yet again. Been here so many times recently for such a wide range.

Had a blast at the Urbanglass fundraiser gala. Ali broke a "U" while installing it- so I made another in an hour- all good for when the people made it up. Ali's after-party glass horse derby went swimmingly, and the living photo wall we made for the spring rebirth theme was so fun to make! So many greeneries and roses!

Your Magic Is Real deinstalls tomorrow. Not pictured is the giant vinyl ball from the walls. Tomorrow is the start of a long journey where we compress a week to 1.5 weeks worth of work and driving, deinstall and travel- into less than one week! Wish me luck!

My neon auction items "bend whatever you want" were well recieved. I think they auctioned it two or even three times- which I am happy to help make to support my favorite local place to teach. Never been a better time to give to the community nonprofits.

Some things I made recently- Both for upcoming art events.

One is the WIIFM - I have been searching for the perfect word or please to make a big red crackle tube into. The crackle tube just looks so evil, and WIIFM is a corporate insurance acronym standing for "What's In It For Me" - a question I find myself wondering when doing art conferences/ opportunities that pay enough for me to lose money or maybe break even.
I do suppose the conference I plan on presenting this at does have a bunch of arty glass friends I am excited to see. But it seems like artists shouldn't be going into debt to go to a conference that is supposed to be for and about them. My demo is about making the neon fast an cheap with beer sign bends

The other thing- big fun 18mm magenta tubes that Urbanglass had around- I felt like they deserved a nice photo backdrop - so a big pink UG on their living wall should be nice. I volunteered 3 hours by making these.
