The Rambling Hamiltonian<p>Since Plains Rd in <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/BurlOn" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>BurlOn</span></a> has large gaps in its <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/cycling" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>cycling</span></a> infrastructure, taking Townsend Av can be a great alternative.</p><p>That being said...</p><p>The smaller gaps in cycling infrastructure can be just as dangerous!</p><p>From Fairview to York Bv in <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/HamOnt" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>HamOnt</span></a></p><p>WATCH<br /><a href="https://youtu.be/C-8cpcjZBIg" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">youtu.be/C-8cpcjZBIg</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p>
The Rambling Hamiltonian<p>I&#39;ll be getting back to some <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/HamOnt" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>HamOnt</span></a> <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/Cycling" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Cycling</span></a> content soon, but in this video, I bike the Westbound Fairview Alternative Route in <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/BurlOn" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>BurlOn</span></a> &amp; discuss how sometimes the &quot;safe&quot; option doesn&#39;t always look or feel intuitive!</p><p>WATCH<br /><a href="https://youtu.be/1EyJBsTh0jE" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">youtu.be/1EyJBsTh0jE</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p>
The Rambling Hamiltonian<p>🚲The Fairview Street Alternative Route🚲</p><p>This route in <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/BurlOn" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>BurlOn</span></a> is fairly safe when traveling east.</p><p>Unfortunately, it brings <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/cyclists" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>cyclists</span></a> further and further away from destinations on Fairview as you go.</p><p>But, considering how safe it is, I highly recommend it!</p><p>WATCH<br /><a href="https://youtu.be/63_OvIk9qkA" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">youtu.be/63_OvIk9qkA</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p>

The Rambling Hamiltonian<p>🚲Cycling Plains Road🚲</p><p>In this video, I cover Plains Road in <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/BurlOn" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>BurlOn</span></a> from York Boulevard to Fairview Street.</p><p>Ideally, it is best to take <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/HamOnt" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>HamOnt</span></a>&#39;s Valley Inn Trail from York Boulevard to connect to the new cycling infrastructure, just east of the Royal Botanical Gardens.</p><p>WATCH<br /><a href="https://youtu.be/L94o7pnRqxY" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">youtu.be/L94o7pnRqxY</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p>
The Rambling Hamiltonian<p>🚲York Blvd Northbound🚲</p><p>This is my preferred route to get from <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/HamOnt" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>HamOnt</span></a> into <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/BurlOn" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>BurlOn</span></a>. It has some protected sections, but the high-speed roads later on are just painted lanes.</p><p>Take **Valley Inn Trail** as a safe alternative to Plains Road though!</p><p>WATCH<br /><a href="https://youtu.be/X3bcCq_L0v8" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">youtu.be/X3bcCq_L0v8</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p>

The Rambling Hamiltonian<p>🚲Cycling from North Shore Bv to Crosstown Trail🚲</p><p>In this video, we check out a route that some cyclists may prefer to take in <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/BurlOn" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>BurlOn</span></a> rather than having to cycle through [2] highway interchanges. It includes Francis Road Trail, King Road, &amp; bike lanes on North Service Road.</p><p>WATCH<br /><a href="https://youtu.be/aW5SHyIRGAA" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">youtu.be/aW5SHyIRGAA</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p>
