Alerta #WashingtonDC #DMV groups of plainclothes ICE demanding IDs confirmed at at least two #WMATA #DCMetro stations (both on the Green line, at Waterfront in SW DC and West Hyattsville just over the border in MD), per NextDoor last night, watch each other's backs

"ICE is at the Waterfront Metro stopping people and asking for identification. They are NOT in uniform! Please be careful 🫶 *Yes they identified themselves upon approach. Sharing the information for others! Not encouraging debate on politics here just trying to be a good human (This post is from 4/28 and people are reporting no one is there now)"

Putting this out because there's a huge Hispanic population in the area of this metro stop and it's one stop from DC. Plainclothes ICE were there. Three had their badges out and were talking to the station manager. There were a couple more in plainclothes with badges hidden but we saw them talking to the other agents so confirmed they were ICE. Probably five ICE agents total.

Please stay safe. Keep your head forward and try to blend in with groups if you can"

Pics from today’s queer tango class. Georgia was out today, so instead of 1hr each of beginner/practica/technique, we did 1.5hr of beginner class followed by 1.5hr of practica.

As a reminder, these are free, community-run classes at Montgomery College in Silver Spring every Saturday 1:30-4:30.
