The SCOTUS order came just hours after the Trump Admin asked Supreme Court to block the district court’s order to get the migrant they deported by “mistake” back.

Mr. Garcia had legally protected status that had been given to him as a result of another court case, so he was not supposed to be deported because he could be in danger if he went back to El Salvador.

Judge Paula Xinis of the Federal District Court in Maryland had said the administration committed a "grievous error" that "shocks the conscience" by sending Mr. Abrego Garcia, to a notorious prison in El Salvador last month. In the administration's emergency application, D. John Sauer, the U.S. solicitor general, said Judge Xinis had exceeded her authority by engaging in "district-court diplomacy," because it would require working with the government of El Salvador to secure his release. "If this precedent stands," he wrote, "other district courts could order the United States to successfully negotiate the return of other removed aliens anywhere in the world by close of business," he wrote. Predictably #SCOTUS on Monday temporarily halted a judge's order requiring #Trump's admin to return by the end of the day #KilmarAbregoGarcia, Salvadoran man who the government has acknowledged was deported in error to #ElSalvador.

Chief Justice #JohnRoberts paused the order by Judge Paula Xinis that the admin return Abrego Garcia, in response to a lawsuit filed by the man & his family challenging the legality of his #deportation.
