Departing #Basel#SBB on board #Nightjet #EuroNight “Canopus” to #Berlin and #Prague . The train comes with sleeping cars, couchettes and sitters. I’m travelling in the #Prague section, in a Czech Railways #ČD sleeper, enjoying a snack purchased on board, before going to bed.

A #DB Class 101 electric is hauling the train. The first carriage is former East German #DR seat car, followed by a number of #ÖBB seaters.

A screenshot from the #ZurichHB webcam footage this morning: #SBB #Re420 Re4/4 11109, in #SwissExpress #Cremeschnitte livery, is pulling the colourful consist of #Euronight #Canopus from #Prague away from the platform and to the yard. The train also conveys #ÖBB #nightjet through cars from Berlin .

#Brussels Midi in the very early 2000s: this is #EuroNight #EN225 #Donauwalzer for #Munich and, as the name suggests, #Vienna . The Munich portion is positioned right behind the #SNCB #NMBS Class 27 electric, the first car being a #DB sleeper, displaying its blue livery.

#Genova to #Vienna with #ÖBB #Nightjet, displayed as #EuroNight on the departure board. I’m travelling in a #couchette car of the #Jenbach type. These comfortable carriages were originally built in the early 1980s and have received several upgrades since.

Not professional work, but will have to do. The sleeping car where I had booked a single occupancy compartment is not present in the train, so I was assigned a single occupancy couchette compartment instead. Which means that I had to make the bed myself. And the berth is much worse quality than in a proper sleeping car, of course. But I will get a 25% refund. Good night!
