Spotted in my RSS feeds: the Oceania Web Atlas. From the landing page: “A curated directory of personal websites by people living in or from Oceania: Australia, Aotearoa/New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, and other Pacific Islands.” Early days for this directory so don’t expect too much yet.

The pacific island with the highest tariffs is #Fiji with 32% US tariffs being imposed on Fiji exports.

Besides tourism it is believed Fiji has received the high tariffs due to the volume of Fiji Water sold in US. Incidentally, Fiji Water is owned by US conglomerate The Wonderful Company who also unlawfully owns most of LA’s water supply to feed their industrial avocado and pistachio nut farms.

Why these island nations want ecocide to become an international crime
Environmental destruction should be on the same level as genocide and war crimes, according to some of those most under threat from the effects of climate change. Vanuatu, backed by its fellow island nations of Fiji and Samoa, is pushing to have ecocide recognized by the Internation...

Shame on you Safeway for deceptive sale prices!

Figi water at Safeway right now shows it's $6.99... but if you read the exceptionally tiny print below the price tag, it says you also have to buy a certain brand of pistachio nuts to get the deal. Otherwise you're likely getting charged $9.49.

Now Safeway normally runs a "deal" on Figi water every other month or so for $6.99, otherwise you pay $9.49 (although it has gone higher at $9.99)

The true price of the product is around $7

Lucky's sells Figi water normally for $6.99 and Target $7.99, although both have had sales discounting it further.

It's never truly on sale at Safeway. It's just overpriced and they make you jump through hoops sometimes to make you feel like you achieved a deal, when they're simply giving you the actual price.

This multi-combination buy is just shameful.

They do the same with Pepsi and Coke products.

This is why I avoid buying beverages at Safeway.
