Found-PhotosFun fact: those giant, puffy shoulders are called "Leg o' Mutton sleeves" and they were all the rage in the 1890s (which is likely when this photo was taken). Scanned from a cabinet card and cleaned up in Photoshop (lots of scratches and stains). The card indicates it was taken by R. B. Found-PhotosHello! This is my first post on <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/pixelfed?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#pixelfed</a>, so I should probably write a bit of an <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/introduction?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#introduction</a>. I collect random negatives and photographs I find at thrift stores, antique shops, garage/estate sales and online. (There is no specific topic I focus on... just anything that catches my eye.) Then I scan them, sometimes do some minor restoration (though damage can also add character), and now I'll post some of them here. It probably goes without saying, but I am not the photographer of anything I post here. In most cases I don't know who the photographer is (or even exactly where/when the photos were taken). I just think it's sad for interesting images to rot away in a box somewhere... or end up in a landfill. For this image, the photographer, location, and date are all unknown. Ride TheoryFrom an unlabeled personal <a href="https://pixelfed.de/discover/tags/ViewMaster?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#ViewMaster</a> reel, most likely taken by someone who worked at the View-Master factory in the 1950s. Possibly my favorite reel in my collection. I don't know what the event is -- maybe a holiday party at the factory? (The windows look similar to another reel I own labeled "Shop".) Church event? (I doubt it -- few church recreation rooms have a Coke machine.) Who knows? Anyway, who wouldn't like to look at well-dressed people in the <a href="https://pixelfed.de/discover/tags/1950s?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#1950s</a> playing <a href="https://pixelfed.de/discover/tags/PingPong?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#PingPong</a>? I'm reposting the image of the guy holding the 3D camera, since it was the last shot on this reel.
