Just upgraded my Framework 13 hinge to the 2nd gen 3.5 kg hinges, and it was so flipping easy. The hardest parts were the magnets messing with my screws and the silly bottom panel screws getting in the way. The guide was fantastic, especially when explaining how to route the display and webcam/mic cables.

I am so happy there's a company like this that cares so much about the consumer.

The #CUPS #Snap is now available for #RISCV in the Snap Store!

To build it it just needed to add #riscv64 as supported architecture in the snapcraft.yaml file.

I has taken 2:30 hours (!) to build on my #DeepComputing / #Framework RISC-V board, and the build servers of the Snap Store need the same time to build it.

Thanks to Heinrich Schuchardt (xypron), RISC-V expert at #Canonical, for providing me a kernel which does bridge networking.

🧐Qns abt #Malaysia’s #antigraft #legal #framework
"Tei covertly filmed videos tt allegedly show snr #state #politicians soliciting & accepting #bribes.. Under 🇲🇾’s current #Whistleblower #Protection #Act, those who 1st approach e #media r automatically disqualified fr receiving legal protection.. #Criticism of the #MACC’s handling of Tei’s case has come from several quarters, including former MACC chief Latheefa Koya, who condemned the body’s decision to publicly name Tei"

South China Morning Post · Are Malaysia’s whistle-blower laws protecting the wrong people?A businessman who exposed alleged corruption is now facing scrutiny himself, raising questions about Malaysia’s anti-graft legal framework.

I'm grumpy this afternoon, so lets see if I can focus on #ThreeGoodThings and lighten up a bit:

1. I'm in Act 3 in Baldur's Gate 3 (#bg3), and the story continues to surprise.

2. Relatedly, I love my #Framework laptop. I got tired of Windows enshittification and saw the tariff problems coming last November. Glad I acted then rather than hem and haw.

3. One of the kids has an activity in Duluth, MN this weekend; it'll be a quick trip but I've never been there before.

After the last `dnf update` and system restart, I keep hearing the sound effect for (un)plugging of a USB drive from time to time. I don't see any other symptoms but I do see a bunch of these on the kernel log:

```
[ 4873.577447] usb 1-4: reset full-speed USB device number 2 using xhci_hcd
```

ls-usb doesn't help identify what device is that:

```
/: Bus 001.Port 001: Dev 001, Class=root_hub, Driver=xhci_hcd/5p, 480M
|__ Port 004: Dev 002, If 0, Class=Vendor Specific Class, Driver=[none], 12M
```

Anyone know? It's driving me crazy. I have work to do..
