There are times I get despondent about #Glasgow but a while ago I saw 2 women club together to pay the shortfall of a young women who was clearly struggling with the whole sensory experience at the checkout.
There's a thread of fundamental decency in enough people here to balance the downsides. #life #humanity

A slow start on #GoodFriday for the old man, another restless night of pain he struggles to get out of bed, after getting his classical music going, he makes his way to start the coffee, and somehow manages to get into the shower, as the hot water pours down over his body, he struggles to take the first breath of the day, eventually he emerges from the shower and struggles to brush his hair and beard, as he puts on his attire for the day, confusion sets in as to why he ever bothers, another day alone, another day in pain, another day where finding food to eat will be a chore, he stumbles out the door to see a windy cloudy day, unsure of where he really is he goes back to grab his coffee and settles in his chair, why o why Lord do you keep me here, for the suffering and struggling I must endure surely deserves some mercy and grace today, a darkness is in the air as the old man just sits and stares.

It's things like this that literally make my heart soar like a hawk (sorry, I just watched "Little Big Man") at the richness & diversity humanity is capable of.

How poor, barren, uninspiring, constricting, loveless, soulless must the world be in which narrowminded, bigoted people live, and want to live.

I'd feel sorry for them if they weren't such huge assholes about it.

My dream on the future of online #SocialNetworking? Simple. One that supports #people and #humanity much better than it does now, so it actually serves mankind.

I want us to get past the madness of mindless #DigitalTransformation, vicious spyware metaverses, and hungry #AI. That's all hypercapitalism. Dehumanising us, eroding the #social fabric, so it can prolong itself and serve the elite owner classes.

#Peopleverse starts offline, where we're humans of flesh and blood, living our daily life.

A weird comment in this article about #extraterrestrial #life and what it means for #Earth. Dr Robert Massey, of the Royal #Astronomical Society "believes that the discovery of even simple #alien life would be the latest chapter in the diminution of #humanity's place in the #cosmos". He says "I think the discovery of life elsewhere... would further reduce our specialness". That's an un- #scientific, subjective feeling, and I don't see it makes any difference/...
