Prepare yourselves, #LNK, for tomorrow the blue coats arrive for their annual takeover of Downtown and East Campus.
Does anyone know of a repair cafe type thing in #LNK? I've seen maker meetups before but that's a little different.
It is *humid* outside in #LNK. It feels like May.
You just might spot one of these in my yard too! (unless someone takes it, please do not) #LNK https://mastodon.social/@codacode/114225453140665453
Some #LNK company owners build child care centers for their employees. Some buy up huge swaths of land to build exclusive golf courses open only to the owner's family, raising housing costs for everyone.
Which type of company will you support?
A MOB OF TEENAGERS IS PRESENTLY ENGAGED IN MASS VIOLINS AT THE NEBRASKA STATE CAPITOL #LNK
@matthiascole There are so many great little spots like that around #LNK. It saddens me when people say there aren't enough good restaurants in town. The problem is that Lincolnites don't support the ones we have, instead opting for another meal at Chili's or Chick-fil-a.
BIG NEWS EVERYONE! ZESTO'S (11th st) IS OPEN

Lately, we’ve been making a point to step outside our usual spots, and that led us to El Cielito Lindo Mexican Restaurant. Tucked away at 100 N 1st St in Lincoln, this unassuming gem serves up a fantastic variety of Mexican classics—tacos, enchiladas, burritos, and more.
This tree fell in my neighborhood overnight. There may not be snow on the ground, but the blizzard is still claiming victims. #LNK
A friend and choir mate of mine is doing something awesome: mutual aid hedgehogs.
tl;dr: She makes crochet hedgehogs and sells them for $5 a piece at Mana Games and Bhodi Imports in #LNK.
I also know the person doing it (Amy aka Prof. Meowmers) personally, and I trust what she's doing.
This month, the proceeds are going to a local organization I also believe in and know an organizer: READ Network: '"READ" stands for Radical Empowerment and Autonomy Defense, creating parallel systems for martial arts, combat sports, and self defense in Nebraska!'
If you don't need a hedgehog, or you're not in #LNK you can also donate directly via the links on the linktree page.

I have some thoughts, and will have more later. For now: to me this was always the obvious choice, but it still does not spark joy. https://www.1011now.com/2025/03/20/assemble-lincoln-selects-site-new-convention-center/ #LNK
Last night were instructed that today we should work from home ... where we're *also* experiencing widespread power outages.
LES outage map is quite active today. Lots of bubbles.
The lights keep flickering here, but so far so good. *knocks on synthetic wood desk*
There are lots of power blips around #LNK. Keep an eye on outages and/or report an outage on LES's Outage Center website: https://www.les.com/outage-center
I imagine there are a lot of people in and around #LNK who plan to spend their day like this.
