By the percentage of population within one kilometer of rail transit, Hong Kong, Osaka, and Madrid ranked highest. With NYC coming in the highest in North America.

The Paris-Milan train resumes service 19 months after interruption.

After a 19-month interruption due to a landslide in the Maurienne Valley in the French Alps, the rail link between Paris and Milan resumed Monday morning.

The first two TGV trains left the Gare de Lyon in Paris for Milan at 6:46 and then at 9:46, taking just over seven hours to reach the Lombard capital, passing through Macon, Chambéry, Modane, Oulx and Turin.

The ice storm warning is getting more confirmed for tomorrow. The ice accumulation is quite important and shouldn't be neglected.

For myself, I will not drive tomorrow . I wish we take a particular attention to people and family members walking on sidewalks, as risks of falling will be real.

Rail transport, in my humble opinion will be #1 for those who have access to the REM or Métro.

L'avertissement de verglas pour demain semble se concrétiser. La quantité et l'épaisseur de la glace n'est pas à négliger.
Pour ma part je ne prendrai pas la route .Je souhaite que l'on porte un attention particulière à nos piétons et membres de nos familles qui marcherons; les risques de chutes seront bien présent.

Le transport par Rail sera, à mon humble avis, #1 pour ceux qui ont accès au REM et au Métro.
