TransitBiker<p>I’m just going to say this: the <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/SEPTA" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>SEPTA</span></a> “Bus Revolution” is a giant pile of shit. They removed two entire bus lines from the rebuilt Levittown station, which has bus slots designed into the station layout. They did not expand on any suburban services in Montgomery or Bucks County leaving them at one vehicle per hour per direction on the two longer routes. This is at a time with poorly planned hasty construction of new housing in these areas. So fucking stupid.</p>

Instead, they want asinine sized ramps for folks to access the elevated platforms from street level. No bathrooms either.</p><p><a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/transit" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>transit</span></a> <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/dignity" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>dignity</span></a></p>
TransitBiker<p>Gotta love the “SEPTA bus revolution” being 98% Philadelphia-centric. The most densely populated areas of bucks &amp; Montgomery totally neglected. They also are disconnecting the 128 from Levittown station which has two entire whole bus pull-throughs &amp; was completely designed from the ground up to handle bus looping. <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/transit" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>transit</span></a> <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/PublicTransport" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>PublicTransport</span></a> <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/septa" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>septa</span></a> <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/bus" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>bus</span></a></p>

Jake Wood<p>I can&#39;t believe that <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/septa" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>septa</span></a> has to go through this nonsense because some inbred backwater slobs decide that they want to fund &quot;school choice&quot; (instead of funding actual schools that aren&#39;t cash cows) rather than one of the most crucial transportation networks in the country that is critical to the economy in <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/pennsylvania" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>pennsylvania</span></a> </p><p><a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/philadelphia" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>philadelphia</span></a> <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/philly" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>philly</span></a> <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/publictransit" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>publictransit</span></a> </p><p><a href="https://www.inquirer.com/transportation/septa-pa-budget-transit-funding-20240107.html" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">inquirer.com/transportation/se</span><span class="invisible">pta-pa-budget-transit-funding-20240107.html</span></a></p>
TransitBiker<p>Man. SEPTA has terrible bus service in bucks county. Looks like they’re aiming to cut it even more soon with this “bus revolution” program. Montgomery county is a mess too, but at least we have more than 4 routes after this plan is implemented. Looks like they’ll retain the 55, 130, and modified 127 &amp; 129. We retain too many to list, though there’s significant changes. <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/SEPTA" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>SEPTA</span></a> <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/transit" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>transit</span></a> <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/transportation" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>transportation</span></a> <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/sustainability" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>sustainability</span></a> </p><p><a href="https://nelsonnygaard.maps.arcgis.com/apps/instant/media/index.html?appid=9a5336cb556c4d8c9a105936a212f9bf" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">nelsonnygaard.maps.arcgis.com/</span><span class="invisible">apps/instant/media/index.html?appid=9a5336cb556c4d8c9a105936a212f9bf</span></a></p>

TransitBiker<p>Why is SEPTA not using Levittown station to stage this Trenton line bridge service? Extra trains to/from holmsburg, right in the middle of small city streets &amp; almost no parking on the inbound side of the i95 break makes legit no sense. How are folks from bucks going to get into the city? No info on west Trenton line either… Levittown has bus integration &amp; huge parking capacity especially if including the nearby shopping center’s lot, but oh well what do I know?</p><p><a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/septa" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>septa</span></a> <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/i95" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>i95</span></a></p>
TransitBiker<p>In 2020 I took photos of SEPTA’s Bristol train station with the intent of prodding SEPTA to renovate the unsafe crumbling platforms while ridership was low. Thankfully it seems temp fixes are being/have been put in place to shore up the platforms. In addition, they’ve unveiled their plan to accelerate the renovation work originally scheduled for 2030 or after to 2026 pending finalised design works. Here are 2 of the photos I took. <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/trains" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>trains</span></a> <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/transit" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>transit</span></a> <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/infrastructure" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>infrastructure</span></a> <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/accessibility" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>accessibility</span></a> <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/safety" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>safety</span></a> <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/septa" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>septa</span></a></p>
