This is a sovereign risk (similar to crypto in the 90s) and it would be prudent for non-USA users to have alternatives that won't get slugged with a border embargo.<br><br>There is <a class="hashtag" href="https://soc.feditime.com/tag/openbsd" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#OpenBSD</a>, <a class="hashtag" href="https://soc.feditime.com/tag/ubuntu" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Ubuntu</a> and <a class="hashtag" href="https://soc.feditime.com/tag/suse" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#SuSE</a> / <a class="hashtag" href="https://soc.feditime.com/tag/opensuse" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#OpenSuSE</a> but I'm interested in what else wouldn't be impacted by isolationist policies.<br><br>Obviously this is a worst case scenario but with the current chaos of the <a class="hashtag" href="https://soc.feditime.com/tag/uspol" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#uspol</a> administration, certainly a possibility.

movq<p>Lo and behold, SuSE Linux 6.4 running on the Pentium 133. 🥳</p><p>This was surprisingly easy, including the XFree86 configuration (there was no X.Org yet). Looks like I happen to have very compatible hardware.</p><p>The distribution feels <em>massive</em>.
