#Australia is a high trust society, that's why scammers from low trust societies with no morals and ethics target us.
It's why Aussies aren't rude to them, we generally believe others are doing the right thing, we give them a "fair go".
BE RUDE. Tell them to GTFO, take their #scam and shove it.
You have to be rude, they are exploiting and eroding our society and trust. Make them feel like they need to think twice before they target their next victim. They need to know they are scum.
So the solution to AI scams is... more AI. We have all seen the increase in AI generated scams. The solution to that is more AI? Maybe the reason more ads are being blocked is that there is actually just a lot more scams due to AI making it easier to make?
I still believe that the move from contextual ads to surveillance based ads was and is a massive mistake and the way to fix that is to ban surveillance based ads.
Contextual ads were also a lot more manual, most of the time, meaning scams were harder. Time to learn from mistakes and get rid of surveillance based ads?

“Your device has been blocked due to illegal activity” — sure it has. After fat-fingering github[.]com, we were redirected to a domain running a fake Microsoft tech support scams: pop-ups that lock your browser, shout scary messages, and push you to call a “support” number (aka the scammer who’ll walk you through installing remote access tools).
They're hosted on legit infra like Azure blobs or Cloudflare Pages. That one redirect led to uncovering 1,200+ other domains hosting identical fake support pages. Of course, whenever a redirect like this happens, there's a malicious traffic distribution system (TDS) involved.

Medical Warning for Diabetics out there.
OH has type two diabeties, so needs to do the fingertip prick test on a regular basis. His diabeties is controlled with medication and diet - no daily injection.
But he’s not a fan of the prick test, so when he saw an ad for a REMI-FA blood test [[clinically validated] he ordered one. It’s around £20 for this item.
His plan was to use it in parallel with the fingertip prick test to ensure it was accurate before he would consider abandoning that one.
Well, box arrived - shows an item on the front and claims it is ‘Clinically Validated’ - but all the box contains is one of those little fingertip blood pressure and temperature monitors.
He’s asked for his money back - Lol. I’d say it’s gone with the wind.
I did some checking on the Diabeties UK and some other sites, and it is most definitely a scam.
If you know someone who has to do the prick test, please don’t let them stop doing it; especially if they bought one of these things.
Disgusting that some lowlife would put peoples lives at risk by scamming people about their blood sugars.

Class, this is NOT a legitimate Social Security Administration Email and you should not respond to *any* emails asking you to check a "document" or "review" anything from SSA.
If you're not sure, skip the email and go directly to the SSA website and login there. https://www.ssa.gov/
Muskrat's minions at dog-e have already sold off all your SSA registration emails to scammers, and you need to be extra careful.
I don't know who needs to hear this, but if you want to reserve a room in a particular hotel, DO NOT search for the hotel name and call the number in one of the sponsored ads at the top of the search results.
More likely than not this is a reseller who will pretend you are talking directly to the hotel and charge you a LOT more than you would have paid the hotel directly.
Find the hotel website, confirm from the URL that you're on it, and call the number there.
