Hasenskulptur aus Stein, die auf einer grünen Wiese sitzt. Der aufrecht sitzende Hase ist braun mit weißen Punkten und hat dunkelgraue Beine, man sieht ihn schrägt von vorne, Blickrichtung rechts. Er ist mindestens 1,70 cm groß. Der Hintergrund ist unscharf und zeigt eine Landschaft mit Bäumen und einem blauen Himmel mit ein paar Wolken.

#making #sculptures that consist of several #elements had some practical reasons, as it facilitated the #handling, but it also allowed me to reconsider the #work after finishing it. This work derived from a small #leftover #metal #rack I found on the streets. The #enlargement resulted in #seven #parts that could be #connected but could also be shown individually or be rearranged in #relation to the #exhibition #space. Thereby the #sculpture unexpectedly became a set of #tools to me, opening up playful possibilities.

Hier noch ein #Denkmal in #Sarajevo zur Erinnerung an das Massaker von #Srebrenica. Es zeigt einen Vater (Ramo), der seinem Sohn (Nermin) zuruft, dass er aus dem Wald kommen soll, weil ihm die Serben nichts tun würden. Man hat dann beide später in einem Massengrab gefunden. // A heart-breaking #memorial in Sarajevo for the Srebrenica massacre. It shows a father (Ramo) calling out to his son (Nermin) to surrender, telling him the Serbians "won't do anything". Their remains were later found in a mass grave.

Zu sehen ist ein unruhiges, stürmisches Meer. Wellen kommen aus allen Richtungen. Von untern schwappen zwei große Wellen in das Zentrum des Reliefs. Im Zentrum eine Forelle im Kampf mit den Wellen. Die vordere Hälfte des Fisches ist sichtbar, die Haltung ähnelt der von Delfinen. Auf ihrem Rücken hält sie verzweifelt mit ihren Flossen einen Fetzen Fell.

I linger before the stone angel, whose bowed figure touches my soul. His sorrow becomes tangible in the cold stone. My fingers wish to stroke the curved wings, offering comfort where none seems possible. In his timeless grief, I find a strange peace. He watches over the past, while I merely pause on my journey to preserve his silent story.

Ich verweile vor dem steinernen Engel, dessen gesenkte Gestalt meine Seele berührt. Seine Trauer wird greifbar im kalten Stein. Meine Finger möchten über die geschwungenen Flügel streichen, Trost spenden, wo keiner möglich scheint. In seinem zeitlosen Schmerz finde ich seltsame Ruhe. Er wacht über Vergangenes, während ich nur kurz innehalte auf meinem Weg, um seine stille Geschichte zu bewahren.
