This was taken from the church of San Michele in Bosco looking out over Bologna. The tower you can see there is the Asinelli tower - it was built sometime between 1109-1119.
Other important information about this area is that I saw a bat and it was very cute.

Finally spring has arrived. On the perfect morning I went to the place I know where currant tree are blooming. The early morning light lit them up perfectly.

Black Head for #seawednesday

We're in the Burren in Co. Clare again. It's a very special place. It is the only place in the world where Artic/Alpine and Mediterranean/Subtropical plants grow side by side. This is due to the unique karst landscape and its microclimate. It the home to about 1100 plant species out of the 1400 species in the whole of Ireland. There are also two butterflies that live there - The Pearl-Bordered Fritillary and the Brown Hairstreak which are not found anywhere else in Ireland. Oh! There's also a really cute fox that my Dad has basically adopted.
