A water tower sits atop the ridge near the left side of the pic. A blustery breeze is creating long ripples across the lake surface.

Recovering from neck problems, I'm back out hiking again after two months. Herron Pond, White Memorial Foundation, Morris, Connecticut. April 17, 2025, 3:45 PM. Back on track for new long-distance adventures starting mid-to-late May.

Der Zauber der Kirschblüten

Ein leuchtender und kostbarer Moment, in dem die Welt still steht.

Mehrere zartrosa Blüten einer Japanischen Zierkirsche hängen in kleinen Büscheln an einem Zweig. Die Blüten sind voll erblüht und zeigen feine, leicht gekräuselte Blütenblätter. Einige bronzefarbene junge Blätter setzen zarte Farbakzente. Der Hintergrund ist weich verschwommen und in hellen Naturtönen gehalten, was die Blüten fast schweben lässt. Das Licht ist sanft und unterstreicht die stille, poetische Atmosphäre des Frühlingsmoments

Ein üppiger Zweig voller zartrosa Kirschblüten erstreckt sich in den Vordergrund, die Blütenblätter leuchten sanft im Frühlingssonnenlicht.
