Worth noting, this was at a heightened time of homophobia, and George Michael was up against The Prodigy’s “Firestarter”- the video where Keith Flint was probably earned the reputation as a scary, violent and edgy looking dude. Evidently, he was the complete opposite. It’s cliche, but true. Never judge by first appearances.

Not to mention Keith Flint being the absolute epitome of Scariest Looking Bastard= Nicest person you could ever meet. George Michael said it best: when he won a music award up against The Prodigy, afterwards he saw Keith Flint coming charging up to him after the winner was announced- he expected a fight. Instead, Keith flung his arms around him and told him of how he was so proud of him and how he deserved to win that award.
