I couldn’t believe this. In the 21st century, measles is apparently on the rise in America through a lack of vaccination possibly due to anti-vaccine rhetoric. If this is true and gets worse, Trump and Robert F Kennedy Jr. should be locked up. Kids will die through Trump’s incompetency.

..our findings demonstrated significant protection of influenza vaccination against cardiovascular hospitalization, consistent with the ability of vaccination to reduce complications of influenza even when infection is not prevented. It is imperative to acknowledge the additional cardioprotective benefits of influenza vaccination and ensure it is translated into policy and practice as a routine preventive measure for cardiovascular diseases, particularly for acute coronary syndrome [58]. With high influenza vaccine uptake in target populations, the additional burden of CVD may be substantially mitigated.

But outside the US we have to wonder how this will affect the ability of American pharma cos to produce vaccines, and start looking elsewhere for vaccines. And I wonder about the ehtics of injecting volunteers with placebos.
