Something weird happened this night. I dreamed of an outfit. I mean one item, the rest of it is blurry, but this one thing was oddly precise.

A medium length (ending above the knee) skirt made of off-white vinyl. Not the highly polished stuff, but this fabric that's a bit thicker and a bit crinkled.

I mean … #wtf?

According to this video blogger #Youtube is flagging clips that contain certain historical terms and names?

youtu.be/rKrALAyBfDE?si=0yUoah

Like, he is avoiding to say "nazis" and "Hitler" although he is just talking about Third Reich architecture as reference for the evil empire's architecture in the science fiction series #Andor.

Research confirms suspicion:

Wow that was weird;

Got some plastic ethernet heads today and when I pushed the wires through them they came out the other end.

I guess I gotta get some toenail clippers or something...never had this happen in 20 years of making ethernet cables.

Seems like it might have been an innovation...cause now the blue sheth always fit inside, but if I want to plug it in, I'll need to clip the wires off.

Another thing I would categorize as basic… as far as humans go:

I wanted to change the status of an item. In my mind, I am taking an action.

But, of the two options… the “correct” option for changing the status is… “New” #WTF

Has Wolfram Alpha gotten stupider over time?

I remember using it years ago to do reasonably-complex unit analysis, and it would figure out and name the correct result unit if you put in a formula of units that reduced to it.

E.g. querying something like "length / time" would spit out "velocity" somewhere in the answer. Or "voltage * current" would get 'power' or 'electric apparent power' if it was feeling pendantic.

And now it just… doesn't do that anymore? What the fuck? Is this some dumb AI bullshit again? Because that was actually a useful tool at one point, goddamnit.

"Trump administration texted college professors' personal phones to ask if they're Jewish."

As all academics know, you can't ask this question in a job interview.

But I guess it's OK when it's not a job interview, when it's the govt asking, and the govt includes a high-ranking official who gives #Nazi salutes.

This happened at #BarnardCollege. Probably no accident that Barnard is affiliated with #Columbia. Trump officials said they had a right to the personal contact info, and the school handed it over.
