One of the first moose I took with a digital camera.

This was early spring, during which it would be unlikely to not see a moose or more along the highway that runs through the south of Algonquin Park. The moose are attracted to the salty water in the ditches that are remnants of the snowy winter roads, which get treated with salt.

I love stopping at this place and always have hopes that I'll see a moose munching on vegetation. Not yet, but maybe one year.

You know there are beaver because of those dead, drowned trees. In the foreground (not visible in this image) a few beaver dams are visible.

Mature trees spread their roots over the forest floor on the Track and Tower Trail in Algonquin Park, Ontario, capturing the essence of the park's natural beauty. This trail is a highlight for many visitors to Algonquin Park, offering a journey through diverse and stunning landscapes.

Friday holiday adventures in #AlgonquinPark; @TAV and my last day in the park, so we took some extra time for hiking around. Stopped at the Wilno Tavern on the way back for lunch and to pick up some mustard. Got into Ottawa, unpacked and returned the car, just in time to walk over to Koven for burgers and poutine before a calling it a day.

Wednesday’s adventures in #AlgonquinPark, starting with the setting moon and ending on the rising moon. Another wonderful day in the park.

I find it so amusing how Find My thinks I’ve left the iPad *somewhere* in the 7,700 square kilometre park when we’d wandered a few KMs from it. 🤣

Made it up to #AlgonquinPark late yesterday afternoon. We're settled in for the week. Have already started two books. @TAV is deservedly napping after our morning stroll through the woods breaking trail after last night's heavy snowfall.
