Piggleston PecanpantsSometimes vintage/antique finds come in stages. I found this unusual paddle and knew I wanted to make it into an amaro flight sampler. This meant searching for small, low glasses with a large foot. They aren't easy to find. Most of these type of glasses have a small foot. It's also hard to find them with unchipped rims. Fill with 4-6 agitator cubes. Flash blend and pour with gated finish into a Collins or highball glass and add garnish. No cocktail feed is complete without one of the titans of tiki, the Jungle Bird! Always a crowd pleaser with its bitter-but-sweet balance, and a garnish sure to turn heads as it gets placed in front of you. Garnish by placing lime wheel on the rim of the glass. A delicious spin on the Hemingway Daquiri. I'm always down for a tequila sub! Garnish with an orange twist. Stirring my way through the cold weather. I found it hard to pick out the base spirits. Rather, they intensified the bitters and amaro bringing out strong spicy flavors balanced out nicely by the syrup.
