at Rudno polje & descended on gravel road to Planina Uskovnici, one of several mountain pastures used for hay/ crops on Pokljuka Plateau. Cloud hid peaks of Bohinj-Tolmin Ridge (
1). Native Trollius europaeus | European globeflower (2); also saw Dactylorhiza fuchsii orchid, but not in flower. Renovated chapel (3). Shepherd’s hut (4). Mountain hut for refreshments at 1154m. 8km/ 2h 15m rtn.

Masatrigo looks like a volcano, but it is just a beautifully shaped hill with a roundabout around it. It looks so cool from afar, and the entire area is actually super beautiful. But it has been raining in Spain for many weeks and the soil/grass was very wet. We parked in a not so very steep place, but it was enough to get us totally stuck.
Luckily a very nice old man came to our rescue.

I'm a #vanlifer, and I live in my #CamperVan that I built entirely from scratch myself. I've got a full #solar system, 21 gallons of water storage, diesel heater, a fridge, kitchen, bed, all stuffed into a tiny Grand Caravan. I'm currently in the #losangeles area and looking to make connections with other cool weirdos. But, being in a van the location could easily change, although I don't plan on going anywhere for a while.

Several storms hit Spain for almost a month. Raining, clouds, cold and wind. We decided to go to a motorhome parking in Alcaracejos and stay there for several days to wait for the storm to calm down. We put a lot of strain on our batteries and our patience

UNESCO-listed Roman sites in Orange. Arc de Triomphe d'Orange honours veterans of Gallic Wars & Legio II Augusta (1). The 1st C. Théâtre Antique d'Orange is best-preserved Roman theatre in Europe (2) & curiously, head on emperor’s statue was detachable—ready for a change of regime! In adjacent museum, cadastres from 77 BCE record colony plan (3); only surviving such record of entire Roman era. A stroll around intriguing medieval village of Saint-Montan (4).

We ended up in a place that was used for cultish rituals (aka: religion). Tens of big trash bins, lots and lots of garbage, fire pits...and signs about "virgins". Except that, the place was quiet and still ok 
.
Gordes is hilltop village cutting fine profile in Le Luberon; crowning château is 10th C. w/ subsequent Renaissance renovations (1). Tue AM market AWOL but had time to admire landscape from stone terraces (2). At Village des Bories visited collection of 14–19th C. dry-stone huts once used by farmers & shepherds (3). Abbaye Notre-Dame de Sénanque is 12th C. Cistercian monastery, still active w/ shop & surrounded by lavender fields (4). 11km/ 4h 20m.
Tak mám doma svého Spoďára! Byl v servisu od listopadu: Výměna automatické převodovky za manuál. Takže teď mám šaltpáku, považte, pětirychlostní. Automat měl ty rychlosti pouze čtyři. Sakum prásk mě výměna rychlostní skříně vyšla na 105.000. Slíbil jsem sám sobě, že je to poslední investice do tohohle vozu. Tak snad vydrží, příští rok mu bude 25 let, bude mít nárok na označení "veterán".

These are the places I love the most. Kinda alone. Nature. Peaceful.
Today we got another Abuse report from the hosting company. I think I am quite sure there was something bad with our server, namely with our Synapse (Matrix) server. It was accessing iPs from outside every second or so. Lots and lots of requests. After investigating we realized we had around 500 guest users. These users do not need an email account/registration to be part of the server. We enabled that a while ago. Bad decision.
We nuked them all today. Now hopefully that was the issue and many of these were bots spamming other Matrix servers and users.
We need to think well about the services we provide for TROM.tf because they can be abused...
Hopefully this fixes the issue with the hosting.
These days/weeks I have to work on a new WebApe project, to make some money, so I will have to delay any creative work I planned to do. But if this new project can be done then I will get more monthly financial support, which is something I really need.
And after it is done I can think of new content to create for TROM.

In Forêt des Cèdres on Petit Luberon massif nr. Bonnieux Cedrus atlantica | Atlas cedars were planted from Algerian seeds in 1861 (1). Nr. Bonnieux the 3-arch Pont Julien was built in 3 BCE as part of Via Domitia, the Roman road connecting Italy to Spain; openings in supports allowed floodwater to pass (2). Colorado Provençal at Rustrel is former 19/20th C. ochre mine, w/ loop walks around colourful quarry site (3). Roussillon also has ochre & tourists (4).
[2/2] On varied path btw villages of Bonnieux & Lacoste we saw many sights near & far. These included the improbable Xylocopa violacea | violet carpenter bee (1); skittish jays; raucous frogs (unseen!); rows of lavender; vines; cherry blossoms; olive trees; giant orchids & native Ophrys sphegodes (2); oaks; thyme bushes; woodpeckers & one 
the size of a small 
. Mont Ventoux loomed in the distance (3); behind Bonnieux stand the Grand Luberon (4).
Turned inland to the Luberon region. Cucuron was hard-hit by Le Peste | the Plague in 1720–21, loosing a third of its population (1). A native Iphiclides podalirius | scarce swallowtail 
took nectar from rosemary at the town’s remnant 14th C. keep (2). We found nearby Lourmarin, w/ its Renaissance château, shops & cafés, a bit touristy (3). Crossing the Petit Luberon, we came to Bonnieux (4); this village has panoramic views over vineyards & forested hills.
In Jura visited UNESCO-listed 18th C. salt works, Saline Royale, at Arc-et-Senans. Semicircle contains symmetrical buildings w/ central Director’s House (1). Brine was pumped thru 15k hollowed-out spruce trunks (2) from 12m underground in Salins, 21km away—as easier to get salt to forest (firewood) than wood to salt (2)! Twin evaporation "bernes" once housed iron pans, now only shells (3). Park-up in fortified village of Morestel w/ view to French Alps (4).
Strasbourg on Rhine opposite 
city of Kehl, our entry point into France. Seat of European Parliament (1) where 705 MEPs representing 450M people from 27 states debate/ vote in free-to-visit plenary chamber; Strasbourg chosen as symbol of Franco-German reconciliation post-WWII (Alsace has changed hands 5x). Cathédrale Notre-Dame built 1015–1439 (2); inside is 16th C. astronomical clock (3). Petite France district has canals, old houses & cobbled streets (4).
