Not a happy bunny this morning. The app tells me my bus is there and on time, but the display at the bus stop tells a different story. An invisible bus is underway, on time, according to the app.
The same with the next bus. I hurry to the next tram stop, 1 km away, missing the tram by one minute. Invisible buses are still running.
Arrive at the station 05.35, and see the 05.45 isn't running today. Next train 06.17.
Coffee and a bretzel. Temperature at -1°C.

Checking all my planned trips for the rest of the month, as the Bremen to Hannover route is shutting down completely for ICE and IC trains, partially for RE. Repairs to the track, after what appears to be a small landslide.
Sadly my journey to work is not effected.
Spring has continued to swing between mild, chilly, snowy, sunny, with generous helpings of ice (nothing like down east!) and mud. More #snow on the weekend and last night (tonight again?) sunny at the moment, and a big warm-up this weekend.Pics from #Saturday #commute

Some commutes hits differently Early morning public transport by boat on Grand Canal in Venice
Last working day of the week, and a comfortable 8°C at the moment. Although I appreciate the chance to sleep properly, rather than waking at four, I don't like travelling on this train.
It's not so much because it is full - bearing in mind half the seats are taken up with luggage and bags or coats - but the noise. Everyone, it seems, suddenly has to make that urgent telephone call, loud, with the speaker on.

Commuting challenges
I was impressed by the runner and the cyclists but why was the air commuter allowed to condemn herself out of her own mouth - balance?
‘I’m aware that in sustainability terms, my commute is terrible. My hope is that my job has a bit of an offset and I might have an impact on future fashion professionals. I teach and research plus-size fashion and I’m interested in sustainability. ‘ (Ontario-NY commute)

A little bit of mixed modes today:
Grabbed a blue bike at 4:43pm and rode to the Apple store in East Cambridge from Kendall.
At 4:57pm I got the iPad mini I ordered for Josh and grabbed another blue bike riding to Park St to catch the red line train.
At 5:10pm I was waiting for the train.
Literally no other mode of transportation could be this efficient and easy around the city.
