wm.annis<p>Kílta word: kókova /koːˈkoβa/ "worry beads," from "kókis" (bead) and the "-ëlva" derivation for rope-like things (which has assimilated to the /o/ in the previous syllable, something it does).</p><p>The Greek term for this is "komboloi." They are a sort of fidget toy for the geriatric set (though I think there was a fad for these among younger Greeks a while back).</p><p>For my partner, these are like a bell on a cat.
