More tulips blooming.

First daffodils! They bloom right in a super sunny area, others seem to be weeks behind

A daffodil in full bloom, its head leaning forward a bit. It has six big petals kind of like a star, pale yellow, and in the center a ruffled cup that is brighter yellow. There are green daffodil stalks and some others blooming in the background.

More daffodils from in front of my barn; once I get the Skunk Cabbage Run photos processed I'll have more for y'all plus pics I took at the new Sims-Jennings Preserve at Cayuga Cliffs

Daffodils are here! This is my first flower photo of 2025, I am hoping this year to build up enough stock I can keep posting them all year round, seeing that people really need them in the winter.

Two daffodils are in the lower part of the frame, looking slightly downwards with foliage below them, immediately behind them is a blurred out stone wall and above that a blue field with periodic vertical dark lines on it.

Into April with a host of golden daffodils in the grounds of Sunderland's Grade I listed St Peter's Church, founded by Benedict Biscop in AD674 when the area was part of the Anglo-Saxon Kingdom of Northumbria. Venerable Bede, who was brought by his parents to be educated at the monastic site which once occupied the grounds in this view, recorded that Benedict brought stonemasons and glassworkers from Gaul to help build the church, as these crafts were not yet established in Anglo-Saxon England.
