While I'm waiting an absolute forever for the knit fabrics to dry, there's juuust enough space on the rack for one more coupon. I've decided to spend the evening dyeing the "apricot" Oxford. I just happen to have some Dylon machine dye and the process takes about 4h.

I took a photo of the fabric before its first laundry. Look at it. What an absolute Bolognese Tupperware of colours.

Then the store photo. Even had I ordered it on purpose, I would have been disappointed.

I got almost nothing done yesterday, except for tidying and prepwork. Woke up today at 4.30 so now I've started cutting fabric for some todays sewing project (that will likely continue into tomorrow 😅). Now I'm taking a short break.

Also: I made a sale yesterday. I designed these little drawer style boxes last fall with magnets in them. Made to hold needles but also other small items. I just sold two 🙃

#Bjd #AntiStain

Probably going to be buying an 1/3 size bjd doll in the near future, but am not sure if they are made of vinyl or resin.

I want to get some anti-stain underclothes.

Does anyone know what 'anti stain ' fabrics usually are?

I might try sewing my own as I have the potential dolls measurements...

Any help appreciated.

I have been meaning to take photos of my new fabric before it became laundry, but I've been very busy, and the days I haven't been busy had been overcast and pissing rain; very bad light. So laundry it is.

Instead taking my own I shall post the store photos, a mini review of each piece, and what it's gonna (probably) become.

This is shaping up to be a long thread so mute me for a couple of hours if it's too much.

Without further ado here's my latest fabric haul!

Look at this absolutely horrendous and terrible extremely on sale mystery cellulose fibre fabric. Terribly drawn lion killing a snake, poor snek! Scary trees! A very badly drawn probably a panther, looks like it could do with a warm meal! A monkey! It's horrible and ugly and I kind of love it. 😆

Stopped into Joann Fabrics since they're shutting down and discounting everything. Grabbed some foam core boards and a few packs of fabric squares that are good for small projects (dice bags, pouches, that sort of stuff). Some of the fabric they had left was tempting but the line to get it cut was super long, I wouldn't have made it out for at least another hour.

The space bees fabric might have been worth the wait, though.

UPDATE: Finally, something worth reporting.

My multi-quilt project, which I have mentioned here before, is at the stage where all 14 mini-quilts are quilted, and each one has a hanging sleeve fully attached.

Next stage: labels. The person who commissioned the quilts wants each quilt to get a different label, based on the recipient (not just their name). I'm waiting on the content for the labels.

#Crafters - What are your thoughts on these kinds of really obviously #AI generated printed #fabric?

They really annoy me and anger me.

(pls no hate on Dalston Fabric Mill they're a good store and I actually saw these prints in person at the craft show at the NEC last month too)

New fabric coming in means I need to get rid of old fabric. There's a creative reuse store in town that takes craft supply donations. I'll be dropping off these 2 bags of fabric for them to resell. We've got several larger pieces of cotton (sheet-sized), a number of smaller shiny or decorative fabrics, several bags of leather scraps, and a bag of wool scraps. Plus a book on making costume armor.
