More about the club here (tl;dr: all welcome to join in on reading queer romance books :ma_flag_pride: 📚 ):
mastodon.au/@wendypalmer/11314

Next month’s choices:

A River of Golden Bones by AK Milford - nb/m, Book 1 of a trilogy, epic-ish, Book 2 just released, Book 3 scheduled
kobo.com/au/en/ebook/a-river-o

Acts of Cupidity by ES Drake - m/m, stand-alone urban fantasy
kobo.com/au/en/ebook/acts-of-c

And then, in a nod to the sheer popularity of the cosy subgenre right now, these two:

The Honey Witch by Sydney Shields - f/f cosy stand-alone
kobo.com/au/en/ebook/the-honey

The Keeper of Lonely Spirits - m/m cosy stand-alone with the rarest of all fantasy creatures, protagonists who aren’t in their early 20s 😉
kobo.com/au/en/ebook/the-keepe

With thanks to @Tiffany we also had Katee Robert and Alexandra Rowland recommended so check them out too.
I also recently enjoyed Sorcery and Small Magics, another m/m cosy.

I would have also liked to add A Bone in His Teeth (trans/m dark fantasy) to this vote, but it’s not out until halfway through May, keep an eye out for it

Check out Brewed Books' review of Mushroom Blues by Adrian M. Gibson, where she says: "The world building was so immersive. I felt like I was right in there among the spores. And our main characters had such strong voices and such growth.

I would definitely recommend picking this one up!"

Gibson @adrianmgibson Indie Ink Awards nominee @indieinkawards My thoughts here may not directly correlate to the ratings I give as an Indie Ink Award judge. That being said, I absolutely loved it. Five stars. This book addresses a war torn country, now under the control of an invading force. Our two main characters come from either side of this divide. Brought together with the common goal of solving the murders and disappearances of fungal children. We watch personal barriers be torn down between the two of them despite the feelings of most and it doesn’t heal the world but it feels like a good step. We also see the evil present on both sides which is another kind of torn down barrier when they can acknowledge that. The world building was so immersive. Robin Hobb’s Assasin’s Apprentice is one of the most satisfying fantasy reads I’ve come across. A growing up story complete with an intricate and detailed web of world building, political plots and character intentions.

I go into more detail on my blog, but why haven’t I picked these up before?

✨

When editing the next book needs a little extra caffeine…. 😂

I may have gone overboard during the Easter weekend, but Alex & Irina's story demands to be released in the world, so 💪 here’s to being productive!

This will be the fifth book in my vampire romance series Lost Royals Of Transylvania. If you're into vamps, suspenseful plot twists and deliciously spicy romances, grab a copy of Book 1, Immortal Illusion, and catch up with the series: https://www.amazon.com/Immortal-Illusion-Transylvanian-Vampire-Transylvania-ebook/dp/B08KSS4Y4L

(It's also available on Kindle Unlimited 😜)

Two worlds. One woman. No memories.

At twenty-two, Saeryn has scars she can’t explain and a three year memory gap. An exotic family vacation away from her fractured past is meant to help her regain balance… except that the desert sands are calling to her with an eerie familiarity, and Malatrius—a stranger met by anything but chance—claims to know what happened during the times she can’t remember.

But to trust Malatrius’s words means believing in sorcery and traveling to another world. It also means putting her future in the hands of her father’s longtime rival who has reasons to hate them both, because with every restored memory Saeryn realizes that not only did Past Saeryn keep secrets from both Malatrius and her father—she’d also made a choice that could threaten the desperate scheme she’d risked her life for.

And now Saeryn faces the same choice once more.

Losing her life will be a minor inconvenience, but losing her memories again could be the end of her.

Memories of Sorcery and Sand is a standalone character driven fantasy with dual timelines and told both in 1st and 3rd POV. If you like books that slowly unveil their mysteries and secrets, get your copy now!
