This Is My GlasgowClyde crossings old and new. An old ferry dock lies in the shadow of a 21st century bridge in Glasgow. When the city was a bustling port and shipbuilding centre, bridges across the Clyde which would block the passage of large ships were not allowed, so instead a fleet of small boats continually ferried people and vehicles from one side to the other at various points along its banks.
