Good night! #3GoodThings
1. Got the slow cooker chicken pot pie made today and it was delicious. And we have leftovers for the next few not so-warm days. 🙌🏻
2. Didn’t manage to exercise because of glucose levels again but still managed to close all my fitness rings today.
3. Started listening to the first Elm Creek Quilters novels, The Quilter’s Apprentice. I’ve listened to these books before but more books have been published so I decided to start at the beginning and read them all. 📚
Sleep well and may your dreams be out of this world. 🤗🫶❤️🫂 #GoodNight #AudioBooks #SlowCooker #Fitness

First Set Mindset

The “First Set Mindset” flips the script: treat your first set (and every set) like it’s your only set.

~ Schwarzenegger, Arnold, The Muscle Principles, 2025

Sound advice, and not just for the gym. Apply this philosophy to life and work.

Approach every action, every task, every project "like it’s you

i usually use thick yoga blocks - not only for yoga but also a lot for calisthenics and stretching too. the thick ones are more stable and i find them a lot more comfortable. lately i have seen them only in Prisma (Finland) and they also have the cork blocks - they feel different but also very good and from what i saw, they are the cheapest there. 9.99 per one block. i didn´t check prices in internet though.
but if you need couple of blocks right now - i´d recommend these ones.

Weighed in for the first time since going to Dallas, since I knew damn well I was going to eat like a garbage dump on vacation.

And it's pretty good.

I weighed in at 281, but I know I'm retaining water from some things I consumed yesterday, so I'm not far off from the pre-vacation 278.

Credit to the meds helping me control my appetite and not skipping a workout even on vacation. Cheers.

Sometimes the #training doesn't go as planned. Last weekend as part of my #fitness class trainer training we did a #cardio lab which included a 15minute #run at speaking pace. Me being a non-runnner was astonished that it was relatively effortlessly. Boosted by that I went for a run-walk today, run until done then walk the rest. And the walk part went down the drain as it just became an 11km trailrun in great spring weather.

So I guess I did that...
