Fishing For Moments
Mein Foto zum #FotoMontag entstand vor dem Institut für Anatomie der Universität #Rostock. Eigentlich habe ich beim ersten Regen seit längerem dort auf jemanden mit einem Regenschirm gewartet. Natürlich um noch weitere Kreissegmente ins Bild zu bekommen. Leider hatte ich nicht so viel Glück. Aber auch mit dem Radfahrer bin ich nicht unglücklich. Mal schauen, ob jemand darauf kommt, warum.

My photo for #PhotoMonday was taken in front of the Institute of Anatomy at the University of Rostock. I was actually waiting for someone there with an umbrella during the first rain in a while. To get some more circle segments in the picture, of course. Unfortunately, I wasn't so lucky. But I'm not unhappy with the cyclist either. Let's see if anyone can figure out why.

Der Mann auf dem Fahrrad ist bewegungsunscharf abgebildet. Links ist eine Art Veranda – von einem runden verzierten Metallgeländer umgeben. Der Betrachter scheint in gleicher Höhe am Beginn der Treppe zu stehen. Rechts im Vordergrund ist die nach unten führende Spindeltreppe, rechts mit einem Geländer gesichert. Davor läuft ein Gehweg entlang, geschwungen und glänzend vor Nässe. Zwei weitere geschwungene Gehwege entlang der Kreuzung sind im Hintergrund. Die Treppe führt auf eine kleine asphaltierte Fläche vor dem Gehweg. Der sichtbare Teil hat die Form eines Tortenstücks, so wie auch der Teil der Treppe. Geländer, Mauer, Fahrbahn- und Gehwegränder – alles besteht aus Kreisbögen. Im Kontrast zu den statischen, architektonischen Elementen ist der Radfahrer in Bewegung. Eleganz auf dem Wasser

Der Haubentaucher ist nicht nur ein geschickter Taucher, sondern auch ein echter Blickfang mit seinem auffälligen Kopfschmuck. Besonders zur Balzzeit beeindrucken diese Vögel mit anmutigen Tänzen und synchronen Bewegungen. Hier genießt er die Ruhe auf dem Wasser, während sein Spiegelbild die Szenerie perfekt ergänzt.

Für den #Fotomontag etwas aus meiner #UrbanBallet Serie, bei der ich nie mit fertigen Motiven im Kopf an den Start gehe sondern immer mit der #Ballerina schaue, zu was sie tänzerisch und mich fotografisch der jeweilige Ort inspiriert.

We made our way this morning to nearby Cades Cove - part of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Saw lots of deer but no black bears today as one often does.

It was good to get away from the news cycle and doom-scrolling, and breathe fresh air for a time. #Tennessee #FujifilmXT5

A small herd of four deer walk across a large open field. Mountains rise in the distance. The field shows evidence of a partial, controlled burn beyond the deer.
Black and white photo of an old cantilever barn. They were commonly used in the American South, especially in Tennessee. It's built with wooden "cribs" on either end. A loft spans the second floor, but there's an open area on the ground level between the two cribs so that a person or wagon can easily pass underneath at the middle. I'm not sure if this one is original or if its a recreation of one.
A single deer stands beneath a sprawling tree, looking off to the left. Yellow daffodils grow in a patch in front of the tree. Other deer were grazing around this spot, but they can't be seen in this photo. While not tame, deer at Cades Cove are accustomed to visitors, and are more tolerant of humans than deer elsewhere.
