Twice a year I spend some time automating event announcements and blog posts for a potluck group. The rest of the year I just show up and enjoy the events along with everyone else.

A year ago, I published a scope on the forum that there were signs of a native tip/donation feature in development.

Today native tips and donations for Ghost blogs were officially announced!

Like the subscription feature, it requires a Stripe account to receive the donations.

As far as I'm aware, Ghost doesn't mark up the Stripe fees whether you use their SaaS platform or self-host, unlike Patreon, etc.

@johnonolan Besides following people, following hashtags is good way to find people posting about your favorite topics. This works especially well for less popular hashtags that don't produce an overwhelming amount of content.

It uses Stripe for payment processing and doesn’t mark it up.

I use it for a potluck group, but I don’t need the subscription feature for that.

I like that I can schedule the monthly emails in advance.
