Early next the Ghost blogging platform plans to enable ActivityPub support as a public beta.

It’s not clear how easy this will be try for self-hosting or exactly when the change go into effect on Ghost(Pro).
Earlier, “in March” was mentioned.
The public beta of Ghost 6.0 should arrive yet this month, with a public beta of ActivityPub support.

Twice a year I spend some time automating event announcements and blog posts for a potluck group. The rest of the year I just show up and enjoy the events along with everyone else.

#GhostBlog has added #ActivityPub support for groups, which is used by WordPress for subscribing to a whole blog instead of an individual user. They are also used by Lemmy. https://activitypub.ghost.org/welcoming-the-wordpugs/
Ghost's ActivityPub support will include support for directly posting both short-form content like Mastodon and long-form content like blog posts. It's reader will include an "Inbox" view for long-form content and a "feed" for short form content.

I had a change to the #GhostBlog platform merged which will fix upgrading for people who use SQLite as their database and have over 500 posts or so.
@MissConstrue I like #GhostBlog, which does blog/newsletter/subsciptions well, but it doesn’t have the bazillion plugins to make it a do-everything CMS that #WordPress turned into.
For my needs, Ghost has been refreshingly simple and secure, allowing me to focus more on content and less on security-driven upgrades.

It bundles newsletter and donation features and is adding native ActivityPub / fediverse support now.
I also came from #WordPress. No regrets.

A year ago, I published a scope on the #GhostBlog forum that there were signs of a native tip/donation feature in development.

Like the subscription feature, it requires a Stripe account to receive the donations.
As far as I'm aware, Ghost doesn't mark up the Stripe fees whether you use their SaaS platform or self-host, unlike Patreon, etc.
Not everything is working yet, but #GhostBlog is dogfooding their #ActivityPub implementation they are working on, so updates about their progress can be subscribed to at @index
Don't expect much else to work right now, including viewing past posts.

@johnonolan These stats are a preview of the impact of adding Ghost to the Fediverse. The #2 posting client behind “web” is Jetpack, aka: WordPress.
There are most posts from WordPress than any single mobile app.
@johnonolan Besides following people, following hashtags is good way to find people posting about your favorite topics. This works especially well for less popular hashtags that don't produce an overwhelming amount of content.
For example, you might want to follow #GhostBlog or #Ghost (if you don't mind sifting through some supernatural posts...)

Why I prefer reading #GhostBlog blogs to #Medium and am looking forward to their #ActivityPub networking. I'm not sure if Medium authors remember this is the first impression that many of their blogs will see-- a good part of the page covered with a popover.
@paco Like WordPress, you could consider #GhostBlog. It would handle the website, newsletters and subscriptions all in one package.
It uses Stripe for payment processing and doesn’t mark it up.
I use it for a potluck group, but I don’t need the subscription feature for that.
I like that I can schedule the monthly emails in advance.
