This chapel is from the 19ᵗʰ century but it was fully renovated in 2010. Fitch<p>song of the moment: Year of No Light - Sélénite<br><a href="https://yearofnolight.bandcamp.com/track/s-l-nite" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">yearofnolight.bandcamp.com/tra</span><span class="invisible">ck/s-l-nite</span></a></p><p>riyl: drone, doom, shoegaze, Hydrahead Records, French metal</p><p>currently: on a bus under gray metaphors</p><p>then: hearing Rob at Ear Wax (RIP) putting on this first track off Nord, saying, "check out this weird French band we're both gonna enjoy" and then I'm standing there like lightning keeps striking 2 feet away from me, and I'm unharmed, more than unharmed; something stuck in me starts coming out, something that needed to come out...</p><p>now: grateful that hearing this was a gateway into becoming fully obsessed with actually playing heavy (in all senses) music myself, and making that happen</p><p>I really do believe that heavy music is a vector of healing for trauma, and a very useful one, overlooked by most</p><p>also</p><p>if you do check this full album out, recommend you do so in the sense of putting on an album: crank it, this is going to be all you do (with a friend or two optionally as desired) for the next hour or so, except to flip the record and chat in sentences short enough to not pull your stitching needle out of the record</p><p>if you don't have time to do that, and you read this far, I'm begging you to think hard about why you don't have Time to Do Such a Thing and then let's chat sometime, yeah?</p><p>I ingest this album as a through-composition using repetitive themes to reach wild, often untouched emotional territory, exploring the true intensity of shared experiences on this earth...
