Anybody have Wayland-compatibile tiling compositor (WM) recommenddations? I'd been using #xmonad for years, but it doesn't work with Wayland. #KDE #Plasma with #bismuth was good for me, but Bismuth doesn't work with latest Plasma. I've really not found anything good with Gnome, and the options like #sway and #hyprland require a bunch of time to configure and don't do things like remembering what to do when I plug in different external monitors like KDE does. I appreciate KDE's automation.
@Riedler This is timely. I'd been using #xmonad for years, but it doesn't work well with Wayland. #KDE #Plasma with #bismuth was good for me, but Bismuth doesn't work with the latest KDE. @Christian_Freiherr_von_Wolff I tried #hyprland but issues of remembering workspaces and also keybinds is a mess and using different keyboard layouts
Plasma I can see graphically and bind only what I always open using general keys (Meta, Shift, Alt, , Numbers) is way better for me

I kinda looked into the #hyprland controversy, and...I mean, I'm a #FOSS old fart. Sometimes you do need a thick skin in this community. But a couple things are alarming. Like changing people #pronouns on Discord without their consent. That really goes well beyond what is acceptable. It's find to disagree, and that sort of discourse is what keeps the community going. But...that....ehe....let's not do that.

A new #keyboard I built from a kit, running ZMK firmware on a nice!nano microcontroller, and with gatreon oil king linear switches. I may revisit this project to install a small battery inside, as the microcontroller has built in battery management and a Bluetooth radio!
I plan to build a macropad counterpart for it, which I will use to build macros for #hyprland, the tiling window manager I use.
There will be no new #nwg-iso tomorrow. Damn flu.
Tumbleweed now offers #Wayland support for #LXQt! Try it with #Labwc, #KWin, #Wayfire, #Hyprland & more. Experimental but exciting! #openSUSE #OpenSource https://9to5linux.com/opensuse-tumbleweed-now-offers-wayland-support-for-the-lxqt-desktop
