#art #history: imagine being such a gifted author that one of  your most radical & inventive novels was mainly a product of automatic writing? best known, perhaps, for providing the screenplay  that would become alain resnais' 'hiroshima mon amour' - which is not a  bad place to start if you've not yet become acquainted with marguerite duras (born #otd in 1914) - she largely escaped acclaim  outside of france. this is regrettable. Teacups. Tiny monsters. Enjoying a peaceful moment to themselves. Humans aren't the only ones who enjoy a spot of tea now and again. Little monsters have been know to slip quietly into kitchens when no one is around and sneak a sip of two of freshly brewed sweetness. This sleepy creature drank a bit too much sweet jasmine tea and found it hard to stay awake. Shhhhhh...

Paper Faces - The Human Psyche: PARANOIA
FACES. We all have them. They fascinate me. Expressions in particular - from subtle to extreme.
OLD PAPER. These too share qualities of human expression. From long ago handwritten notes, aged newspapers and maps to worn paper stained with time. In this series of prints, I combine them to create whimsical "stories" about the nature of being human.
