I think I finally understood #Python, #Lutris and #GTK sufficiently, and my brain decided to do one of these super rare happy chemical flushes. Fucking Poggies. 
The speed result is completely inaccurate (turns out the existing Downloader class doesn't wait long enough if all you care is for the very first measurement), but right now I'm just happy it updates the text accordingly every time.

So I made a fix for a #Lutris installer (NFS Porsche) and created a PR on the git of who made the first one.
It was rejected without any comment. Also said person seems to be completely inactive for years.
Should I just yolo it and take over the Lutris installer on Lutris.net? Said person didn't credit themself in the corresponding field, I just found them through the file download links. 
The current NFS Porsche Unleashed installer will fail unless you got one specific version. #Linux
Disclaimer: I'm not a security researcher or even fluent in Python. Further analysis by more capable people very much welcome.
From my point of view this looks like an absolute fuck up by the #Lutris team. Requesting debugs for your tool while coding said tool to just throw *every* HTTP request into the log file no matter its content is just screwed up.
If you ever shared the #Lutris debug log (as requested by both the Forum as well as github issue page) while your #GOG account was connected:
You might've shared your secret API token publicly.
The Lutris logs seem to NOT hide *any* personal information in debug logs' HTTP requests. Including your private refresh token.
If you ever shared a Lutris debug log, de-auth sessions and change passwords immediately.

I've been putting off switching to #linux before #W10 goes out of support because I didn't know if #ffxiv would work on it.
@Noyesster told me that #Fedora with #Lutris works 'flawlessly' so I thought I should start working on it.
First thing is replace my last 500 Gb for a 2Tb one, and I decided to go for the #Crucial MX500 (I¡m replacing a 2'5" disk with another).
Turns out, only #fuckingAmazon has it, can't find it anywhere else here in Barcelona.
What a disgusting world we're living in.

@gahlearner @MattMerk You do, yes, unless you intend to crack it, I suppose. Once it's running inside #Lutris (which itself run on #Wine), it is literally the Windows version. If you had a Mac license, they'll knock a few bucks off, FWIW.
Also, worth knowing, if you're new to #Scrivener, their trial version is worth 30 days of *use*, not 30 calendar days.

I buy all my own supplies, which is to say a computer and software. I spent *months* trying to get #Scrivener to run on #Linux (#Lutris did the trick).

Now that I've settled on #Debian / #Gnome, and I've gotten #Scrivener working (because #Lutris was kind enough to create an automated installation), I'm finding my computer is... just a computer. It just works.

@codemonkeymike @rl_dane I have a copr repo for qb64! But I've also successfully ran actual #QBasic from a floppy drive in #Lutris, which I'm near certain uses DOSBox under the hood, but the important detail about that is that I didn't have to figure that out for myself.
Idk why people say gaming on linux is hard, honestly linux gaming is so easy its literally plug-n-play
