Asheville CharlieI've got <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/music" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#music</a> on the brain at the moment..I've been writing <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/songs" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#songs</a> since I picked up a <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/guitar" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#guitar</a> at 6yrs old. When I write a song I visualize it. I see a picture or a scene. There's always a <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/melody" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#melody</a>, a background and a foreground. A story however brief. Almost never do I say what the picture is. I want the listener to just feel it. Also I guess I really don't play music. There's a point where you stop playing and you just listen. Chang TerhuneToday I opened an Ableton set from 2014 I thought I’d lost. Joy in a pleasant surprise was soon gone as I saw what a state the set was in. Like seriously in such disarray I couldn’t figure out what was where and when. Yet this set was used live and on my first ep. So I’ve obviously learned some things since then which is nice. Now going through it to update for new live sets and stuff.
