Nach der Abschaltung läuft der #Nextcloud-Client jetzt tatsächlich.
Er stürzt random alle paar Stunden, manchmal auch alle paar Minuten ab - lässt sich aber dann immerhin problemlos wieder neustarten.
Trotzdem bitter, dass das so instabil läuft.
Ich hoffe, dass es mit dem Abschluss des initialen Syncs dann irgendwann stabiler wird.
@lpbkdotnet I would whisper "create a list in #Joplin with a #NextCloud backend", but that's another two projects you don't need!

@homawida Klar, #Nextcloud kann das problemlos. Man muss nur den Client installieren und die Ordner verknüpfen. Datei-Synchronisation gehört zur Grundfunktion.

Nutze ich selbst seit Jahren in meiner kleinen Agentur und bin sehr zufrieden.
Möglicherweise habe ich jetzt eine Ursache gefunden, warum der #Nextcloud-Client auf meinem MacBook ums verrecken nicht laufen wollte.

Das ist insbesondere deshalb fatal, weil es eine App ist, die von Nextcloud selbst promoted wird.
Deaktiviert - und immerhin startet jetzt der Client erstmal. Ob das schon die Lösung war oder nur ein Schritt dahin, muss sich noch zeigen.
So does anyone here run #NextCloud using #TailScale exclusively? I only plan to use it on my devices, so the insistence on having a real domain has always tripped me up when I think about deploying it.
Alternately, are there any happy #Seafile users?
What I'm after is a Dropbox replacement. Everything else is gravy, and likely something I would want to handle with a dedicated app of its own. #SyncThing also might work. The NextCloud attempt to match Google by feature is just a mess.
Would like to compare notes with anyone who is actively getting Dropbox-like functionality in a #SelfHosted way.

I use #nextcloud myself, but there are several other, much lighter-weight solutions - here's a short list of them:
Mit meiner lokal gehosteten Nextcloud bin ich nicht immer zufrieden - vielleicht sind meine Ansprüche dabei auch zu hoch, vielleicht bin ich zu nörgelig - mag alles sein. 
Jedenfalls hatte ich mich vor gut 2 Wochen schon nach einer Nextcloud-Alternative umgeschaut und diese auch gefunden: OpenCloud!
Eine schnelle, schlanke Cloud, die sich ebenfalls gut selbst hosten lässt. In OpenCloud integriert ist auch Collabora Online, draw.io, Tika und ClamAV, außerdem ist die OpenCloud Open Source.
Wer meinen persönlichen Erfahrungsbericht über die OpenCloud lesen möchte und diese selbst installieren/testen mag:

@tomminieminen I installed Leap. I don't need the latest or greatest. I just need a stable environment.
My writing laptop isn't a powerbeast that has to run servers, only #Nextcloud, #Joplin and #novelWriter and it does so perfectly.
I used to run xubuntu on it but i thought this would be a nice option to venture into. So far I like it. 
Möchte man seine Fotos in iOS und MacOS nach Möglichkeit ohne iCloud verwalten, sind einige Schritte nötig. Archivierung auf dem NAS und Upload neuer Fotos in die eigene #nextcloud.

I actually stumbled into them from a #nextcloud blogpost where they became a platinum partner. So was looking into hosting our nextcloud there (for my company) soon
