today is the day my first ever residence permit application was rejected — i was ready for it and ready to move forward, but anyway it makes me think of #borders

so that is the best moment to finish my #art work on… borders

I bought a hand #sewing machine, adjusted it as it was shown in the manual and tried sewing, but the machine missed #stitches.
I checked lots of long creepy videos on adjusting similar models, but anyway there were no clues what to do in my case.

Yesterday I finally found a useful manual, which helped me solve the problem. It was a manual for a very similar Soviet hand sewing machine from 1991.
Now I suppose I’m a good El*n who learned Russian to access Soviet technological secrets…

as a passionate traveller, a researcher and now an emigre i have a lot of anthropological thoughts, which i mark with a #non_lieu hashtag

the thoughts may be too shallow, but i feel the urge to share them — i hope it’ll help them grow in something more precise

and i really want to capture my state of mind right now — when i don’t have a home and have a lot to handle — and track its transformation

i’m travelling with two cats, and here are facts i couldn’t imagine:

i didn’t know cats could share a crate (both legally and physically)
i couldn’t imagine they’d become real bosom friends after a flight
i’m surprised they count the crate as a safe space — they use it as a hiding comfort place

please feel my émigré pain:
i didn’t even enter this fanciest shop because i spent last week selling my furniture and massively giving away my precious personal things to my friends
