I use #Fastmail (over a decade now) for "regular" email, and #ProtonMail for secure, but moving soon, just haven't decided where yet.
I'm leaning toward Mailbox.org or Tuta.

Are you aware that #Proton has entirely abandoned the Fediverse?
Nominally, to "consolidate their social media presence due to limited resources" but actually (at least circumstantially), to get away from enduring criticism for the political views expressed by its CEO.
If you actually want them to at least see your words, you need to hit up Reddit...

Jetzt ist es auch mir das erste Mal passiert, dass ich Probleme mit meiner proton.me Email-Adresse hatte. Die Registrierung auf einer Seite wollte partout nicht gelingen. Hab es zwei mal probiert und mehrere Stunden dazwischen gewartet, aber keine Bestätigungsmail bekommen. Hab dann die alte gmx Adresse genommen und die Registrierung hat sofort funktioniert.
I thought Proton mail being stretched phone app is just an Android tablet thing, turns out that is the case for iPads as well

@Tutanota Oh, #Protonmail had it from when I created an account on it one year ago...

A company truly outside Us Jurisdiction does NOT have terms and conditions concerning Us Customer and Us Laws, because they do not need them, because they do not apply to them. The same way, they do not need to include the other 200 or so, nations around the world.
It is rocket science. This is not hard to understand.

Have been moving away from Google. Gone for Proton for mail, calendar, and drive. Also replacing apps with Fossify.
Still running Android so still not fully severed the link but moving in the right direction.

Voor e-mail #Tutamail uittesten naast m’n huidige #protonmail. Kost allemaal wel veel tijd maar de moeite meer dan waard. Sterkte ermee.

Proton Mail alert: if they send a message indicating your plan is going to be canceled because you don't have recurring billing set up and you want it to be canceled, go in and cancel it anyway.
I just got billed after they sent two messages saying my account would be canceled.
