Heather EvansGood morning tooting friends. It’s not sunrise yet, I’ve been up for an hour nursing a cuppa tea 🫖. It’s quite a cool morning, 9c but it will warm to a lovely 26c. Just having my breakfast eggs 🍳 & my coffee ☕️ is freshly made. Feeling pretty good this morning after yesterday evening. Looking forward to my <a href="https://aus.social/tags/RiverWalk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#RiverWalk</a> that’s for sure. I need to get groceries today too so I’ll take all I need with me & go straight after I’ve done my walk. I received a msg from one of my house/pet sit people where I’ll be for 3 days over Easter 🐣. They have added a new dog to the mix, a 2yr old male long haired Jack Russell, called Ozi as he was born on Australia Day. Apparently he was an unwanted dog on a farm nearby 😏. They sent me a picture & I’m going down to meet him the weekend before Easter. So now it’ll be 2 dogs 🐶 🐕 , one cat 🐈‍⬛ & numerous chooks 🐓 🐓😁. A lovely cool morning again today & we’re heading to a sunny 25c, it’s already about 15c but it certainly feels a wee bit lower than that due to wind. <a href="https://aus.social/tags/Weather" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Weather</a> I had a good day yesterday, first being my 6km walk at The Crossing Place by the river. I spent a lot of the time on the walk in my own head though, revisiting everything that had happened during the week & clearing my head. I also got to pet at least 4 very friendly dogs being walked by their owners. They must have sensed I needed a bit of attention. <a href="https://aus.social/tags/Exercise" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Exercise</a> <a href="https://aus.social/tags/RiverWalk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#RiverWalk</a> The rest of the day I spent in & out of the garden. I did quite a lot & it’s certainly not finished, but I’m pleased with how much I’ve done & hope to get a bit more done today. I can’t spend hours & hours gardening like I used to. Now I do some & take a break & then do some more & that works for me. I’ve pulled out my tomatoes 🍅, they were starting to show signs of fruitfly which is a nuisance because up until now they’ve been fine. Cucumber 🥒 & Silverbeet 🥬 are still going & I have my herbs & garlic chives. <a href="https://aus.social/tags/Garden" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Garden</a> I’m hoping for a little calmer week, but the next couple of days will be pretty full. I’m going with my daughter to visit my sister today & really hoping things have improved for her. My niece & husband arrived from Sydney yesterday evening & have a lot to organise this morning before they can also visit the hospital. <a href="https://aus.social/tags/Family" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Family</a> Anyway, have a happy <a href="https://aus.social/tags/Monday" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Monday</a> people - hope you all have a wonderful day.

Dag-Rune ZA spot to enjoy the slow, relaxing hours before sunset The riverside walk along the west side of Ton Le Sap river and east of Sisowath Quay blvd stretches nearly 4 kilometers. That is past the junction where Ton Le Sap joins the mighty Mekong river in front of the Royal Square and the Royal Palace. It is a nice walk, and deeply needed when the day is hot and the sun is beating down. There is always a cooling breeze there. And for people who learns and experience places and cities by walking, fresh, moving air is always welcome. In the evening, the riverside fills up by locals socializing, playing, exercising, eating, drinking, dating and selling. It is hard to say if it is more lively there than in the old town behind Sisowath Quay, or the heavy trafficked river filled with boats on the other side.
