MightyBigCar<p>Reports are that at noon today there were 5000 people at <a href="https://montereybay.social/tags/HandsOff" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>HandsOff</span></a> <a href="https://montereybay.social/tags/SantaCruz" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SantaCruz</span></a> and 400 people in <a href="https://montereybay.social/tags/Watsonville" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Watsonville</span></a> . That's about 2% of the total county population, and doesn't account for (a) small protests in small towns like the dozen people in <a href="https://montereybay.social/tags/BoulderCreek" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BoulderCreek</span></a> or (b) people were coming and going from the larger events the whole time. I can't even guess how many in total actually participated, but regardless: Way To Go, <a href="https://montereybay.social/tags/SCruz" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SCruz</span></a>!</p>
