Paris bans rentable electric scooters. My knee-jerk reaction is that they should dedicate some car lanes to them instead, but Paris is doing such a good job already in minimizing car traffic. Not sure what's going on.
The Montgomery County Department of #Transportation, in collaboration with the Washington Area Bicyclist Association (#WABA), is offering adult bike classes in #September, #October and #November for #MontgomeryCountyMD residents.
The
classes include both 'Learn to Ride' and 'Basic Skills' classes.
MCDOT also will offer four #free, walk-up scooter
classes following select bike classes.

I am trying to keep an open mind on the Lime #scooters that are for rent across our city, #RochMN , because of the #micromobility potential. But yesterday I personally moved FIVE of them off the middle of our multiuse trails. One was left in the exact middle of an intersection of two trails, blocking both trails.
What is it about either the scooters or their riders that causes so many to be abandoned in such inconvenient and unsafe manners? How do we address without stifling micromobility?
