People dying in plane & helicopter crashes is a BAD thing.
But for Musk, #starlink, SpaceX & GrokAI it's a GOOD opportunity to take control of the FAA, cut regulations & make money.

So why aren't the airlines, the pilot's union, & corps like Verizon, publicly trying to stop Musk & #DOGE? Fear of retaliation.

How do we get corps & their lobbyists to publicly stand up to Trump? Show that passenger deaths are BAD for the stock market & airlines' bottom lines.

What a racket. Literally.

"A series of internal government messages obtained by The Post reveal how U.S. embassies and the State Department have pushed nations to clear hurdles for U.S. satellite companies, often mentioning #Starlink by name."

"The #space #internet of the future may become the central way that we communicate with one another, as human beings. Information of every kind, including the most sensitive kinds, will flow through it. Whoever controls it will have a great deal of power over us all. ... If Musk continues to dominate the launches that take #satellites to space, and the #internet services that operate there, he could end up with more power over the human exchange of information than any previous person has ever enjoyed."

The Atlantic · Starlink Is Elon Musk’s Most Alarming Power GrabBy Ross Andersen

#Musk is clearly imagining a future in which neither his network nor his will can be restrained by the people of this world. But even now, here on Earth, #space #internet is a big #business. Fiber networks cannot extend to every bit of dry land on the planet, & they certainly can’t reach airborne or seaborne vessels. More than 5 million people have already signed up for #Starlink, & it is growing rapidly.

#Musk 1st announced his intention to build #space-based #internet, which he would eventually call #Starlink, in 2015. He had plans to settle #Mars, …the moons of #Jupiter, & maybe #asteroids too. All those space colonies would have to be connected via #satellite-based communication; Starlink itself might…be adapted for this use. Indeed, Starlink’s terms…ask customers to affirm they “recognize Mars as a free planet & that no Earth-based govt has authority or sovereignty over Martian activities.”

Interesting way of illustrating how often #satellite trails affect small field-of-view telescope observations. “Hubble’s Variable Nebula variation from 7-Mar-2017 to 10-Mar-2025” The onset of the #Starlink Era is evident: youtube.com/watch?v=5QOkzmlSzK
