Despite my very modest bunch of followers, this may be noticed by my local server, "urbanists.social" which has a lot of posts about the "War on Cars" and the evils of SUVs, with which I agree.

It's kind of sad that these six Doonesbury comix I just ran across, date back 21 years to early 2003. No improvements in the situation, alas.

Three doonesbury comix from 2003, in which Alex Doonesbury worries her father by handing out tickets to publicly shame SUV drivers. Worse, dad Mike drives an SUV, and his lame defense of sometimes needing the 4x4 to get over a curb, ends the series.
