I cannot overstate the value of being in community with other activists right now. It is what gives me the strength to get up in the morning and fight fascism.
Worried Canadians are wondering what that fight looks like.
As the saying goes, "Don't mourn. Organize", but there hasn't been as much activity as there was in 2017.
I haven't seen giant marches in pink hats or anything. No strikes.
Best would be international organizsation, in which several countries cancel American weapons buys on the same day that a few million Americans go on strike and into the streets.
Or something equally appropriate to loss-of-country.
@RoyBrander @evacide There were protests in many state capitals, and D.C. on President's Day: https://www.npr.org/2025/02/17/nx-s1-5299915/dc-protests
There's another one being planned for March 4th.
You can see what's upcoming on the r/50501 subreddit.
